Who are we? Meet our partner – IMS Laboratory

X-TREME 6G is run by a consortium of 17 companies, universities and research centers who decided to join their strengths and assets within one project to define the future of 6G in Europe, at the unique intersection of microlectronics and telecommunications.

With a partner like Universite de Bordeaux-IMS in our project, let’s just hope that X-TREME 6G’s outcome will age like fine wine !

IMS laboratory is affiliated to three prestigious french entities – the Universite de Bordeaux, INP Bordeaux, and CNRS.

With more than 400 employees, IMS counts for the most innovative and dynamic laboratory for information and telecommunications technology.

As said by Cristell Maneux, IMS’s representative within X-TREME 6G –

“As part of X-TREM 6G, the IMS laboratory is very proud to accompany its historical industrial partners such as STMicroelectronics and III-V Lab for the evaluation of their advanced technologies. In particular, our know-how and skills in terms of high frequency electrical characterization is stimulated by the ever higher dynamic performances of their bipolar transistors.”

In X-TREME 6G, IMS’s contributions will focus on high frequency HBT characterization.

X-TREME 6G project has received fundings from the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) under the Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement NO 101192681.
